PHILOSOPHY & BRIEF OVERVIEW
We believe the best way to learn music is to play music and "do" music. We take all ages of students from the lesson room to the stage, developing both their confidence and musicianship with programs designed for all skill levels.
The Metropolitan Music Academy / Charles Eckhart Music Studio teaches vocals, keyboards and piano and combines weekly private music lessons and each person's individual goals with a tailored course of study to optimize the student's goal achievement.
To date our students individually or with a music group, have played thousands of concerts, written music for Travis Tritt, taught piano to Leanne Womack, appeared on Jay Leno, travel throughout the world performing on every developed continent to more than 100,000 people and have had their music featured in movies, television, commercials and on the the radio as well as the internet radio.
WE ARE NOT ABOUT JUST SINGING / PLAYING OTHER INDIVIDUAL'S AND BANDS' SONGS FROM THE 70's AND HAVE YOU PAY FOR STUDENTS' to "HANG OUT".
We will help you develop your own style.
We will help you develop your own repetoire
We will help you with your individualized goals

READ IF YOU ARE STARTING LESSONS ANEW
My lessons start with a 1 hour long rapport building lesson.
I ask questions about their music likes and dislikes
I show the student what I can do on the piano and keyboards
Voice students are shown the recording capabilities for every lesson
I assure them that we can develop a goal to achieve the music that they want to play
I incorporate classical techniques, tricks of the trade rock techniques and encourage songwriting and instrument exploration.
We do not subscribe to a particular method book. However younger students 4 -9 y.o. do respond to this style of structured learning
I design and tailor a path of achievement for each student.
I am unconventional, well-versed, accomplished both in piano/keyboards and voice as well as a funny teacher
